Surrey Support Group

Christmas Party 2016

The Surrey group meets in the Function Room at The River Bourne Club, Heriot Road, Chertsey, KT16 9DR, every two months, occasionally informally, but often with guest speakers, including NHS consultants and alternative therapists.  A very friendly group where those with PMR and/or GCA support each other by sharing experiences over a cup of tea/coffee, whilst at the same time learning about their condition and how best to manage it from knowledgeable guest speakers.  All are welcome, including partners and carers.

For further details please email

                                          Our Surrey Group

Hurry, hurry, hurry,

There’s a meeting on in Surrey.

We’ll be queuing at the door

But there’s always room for more.

A time to chat, to listen and learn.

Express a worry, maybe a concern.

A time to discover new medical trends

But also a place to meet old friends.

Nasty little devils these rotten ills

We do as we’re told, we take the pills

We try so hard, we do our best

But feeling ill is such a pest.

Poorly eyes, sore hips and shoulders?

Bodies feeling like heavy boulders?

Trying to stand but can only stoop?

Help is at hand with our friendly Group!

Great speakers full of information

We sit there rapt in admiration

Their knowledge helping us to cope

Giving us help, giving us hope.

Tea and coffee, there’s  biscuits too

Dear Gordy – that is thanks to you.

We even have a Christmas ‘do’

And we’d love to extend an invite to you.

So a welcome awaits, please don’t be shy

Come along and just give us a try.

We’re a friendly crowd as you will see,

The Surrey Group – it’s the place to be!
