Peterborough Annual General meeting 26 April 2016

Benefits of aromatherapy-presentation 26.April

On 26 April 2016 our Annual General Meeting took place  Election of the committee and reports from Treasurer and Chair for 2015/16 were presentedin accordance with the Group's consititution.

Guest speaker Moira Herd holistic therapist and co-ordinating lecturer at Peterborough Regional college gave a very interesting presentation about complimentary therapies that are available at the college Salon 'Revive' , Focusing on the benefits of aromatherapy and different oils used,  the presentation was interactive and fun whilst being interesting to all present . Our next general meeting takes place on 27 September 2016 between 1pm and 3pm at the Quakers meeting house  21 Thorpe Road  Crescent Bridge Peterborough PE36AB

Don't forget we  also meet on a less formal basis for 'coffee and a chat' on the second Wednesday in each month at the Community Cafe in St Johns Church.Church Street, Cathedral Square, Peterborough PE11XB For more information see the events.

Bowen therapy and Yoga therapy

Guest speakers Caroline Dabbs BAuk, Bowen therapist and Deborah King from the British Wheel of Yoga, gave interesting presentations about the benefits of the Bowen treatment and Yoga therapy for people with PMR and/or GCA in pain relief and relaxation. Sharing tips for healthy living and demonstrating exercises at a manageable level proved very motivating people to follow up by finding local classes.
