A Big Thank you to Pam and Moulton Ladies Group

Pam and Clare at Moulton Ladies Group

On 21 February, I was invited by Pam and the Moulton Ladies Group to give a small presentation  to raise awareness about PMR and GCA and to receive a donation from them for the Peterborough Support Group. There were approximately 30 ladies at the meeting,  most of whom had not heard of PMR or GCA until their group leader Pam,  was diagnosed last year,  and  so were very interested to learn more.  Many thanks to  Pam and her ladies.for their very warm welcome,  hospitality and generosity,  it was a pleasure to meet them all and to have the opportunity to  share information about both our local group and  PMRGCAuk.

General meeting on 19 September 2017

Pilates -Demonstration using the D Roll

On the 19th September we held our bi-annual meeting at the Friends meeting house in Peterborough.  The meeting was attended by people from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Peterborough.

Our guest speaker Robert Philp, a Pilates Insitructor and Physiotherapist  who runs The Pilates Studio in Peterborough. provided information and a practical demonstration .  Robert shared his passion and knowledge about  exercise, improving  core muscles , posture and  breathing . We learned all about the origins and benefits of Pilates,  whilst having great fun trying out some of the excercises.

Special thanks go to Audrey, George and Ann for actively taking part in the practical demonstrations so that we could all see Robert in action

At the end of Robert's session we were able to raise questions and get personal tips for our own individual difficulties with movement.

For anyone who missed the meeting you can find out more about what Robert offers through his website:
