General Meeting on 27 September 2016
On 27 September 2017 our General meeting was well attended and provided the opportunity for us to share personal experience and learn about current research being carried out by the Rheumatology team at Peterborough City Hospital and to invite group members to take part. In addition we were excited to share news about the National Research Roadshows taking place in 2017, and in particular that Peterborough will be hosting a roadshow on 26 September 2017 as part of the countrywide programme.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Annabel Kingsbury-Physiotherapist as our guest speaker.
Focusing on four main areas of Physical wellbeing, Psychological wellbeing , the importance of exercise and the importance of relaxation as follows:
Physical wellbeing - Flexibility, Strength, Stamina Body Positioning and Balance
Psychological wellbeing- Knowledge, Acceptance, Management, Fearlessness and Perspective
Excercises- Head and neck, Upper body and Shoulders, Arms, Lower body and Pelvis and Legs and Feet
Relaxation- Letting go of tension and
Annabel's presentation involved both theory and practical experience of excercises and relaxation and proved exceptionally helpful and enjoyable for all.

Tuesday 19 September 2017 between 1pm and 3.30pm

Peterborough Annual General meeting 26 April 2016
On 26 April 2016 our Annual General Meeting took place Election of the committee and reports from Treasurer and Chair for 2015/16 were presentedin accordance with the Group's consititution.
Guest speaker Moira Herd holistic therapist and co-ordinating lecturer at Peterborough Regional college gave a very interesting presentation about complimentary therapies that are available at the college Salon 'Revive' , Focusing on the benefits of aromatherapy and different oils used, the presentation was interactive and fun whilst being interesting to all present .
