North East Support Group - March 2020 meeting

Our next meeting will take place on:

Date: Monday 23rd March 
Time: 1pm to 3pm
Venue: St Aiden' Parish Hall, Front Street, Framwellgate Moor, Durham, DH1 5BL
(There is adequate parking at the Parish Hall, and it is situated only 0.5 miles from the A167, Durham train and bus stations.)

Guest Speaker: Joanne Hewitt - from the Bowen Therapy Centre.  Joanne will provide information and advice regarding Bowen which is a holistic technique that works on the soft connective tissue (fascia) of the body.  A Bowen treatment consists of sequences of small moves, each at a specific site on the body.  As the therapy treatment can be done through light clothing, Joanne will also provide practical demonstrations.

There is adequate parking at the Parish Hall, and it is situated only 0.5 miles from the A167, Durham Train and Bus Stations.

Guest speaker:  Trevor Langford (physiotherapist) from Platinum Physiotherapy and Personal Trainer who will deliver a thought-provoking presentation on the benefits of physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, stretching techniques and massage.

All being well, John Robson (North East group coordinator) will have just returned from his “Ultimate Challenge” to attempt to climb Annapurna IV (7525m / 24,600ft) in the Nepal Himalayas and if time permits will give an insight into his high altitude expedition.
