Maidstone Meet Up Report - January 2018

Maidstone Support Group began 2018 with a very informative speaker on the "Yellow Card" system, which we believe is the third such talk given to groups in Kent.

We all learnt a lot.

We continue to enjoy the hospitality of the Early Bird.

The MHRA Yellow Card website is for reporting adverse drug reactions, medical device adverse incidents, defective medicines and counterfeit or fake medicines.

Maidstone Meet Up - November 2017 Report

Maidstone Group met in November at the Early Bird, Grove Green, for their final meeting of the year.

Our Chair, Penny, had given us three questions to toss around at the meeting and one question in particular sparked a Eureka moment in the group.  "Have any movements or exercises helped you to cope? What advice or tips can you share?"

One member mentioned a pain deep in her buttock. Out of eight members present four admitted that they too suffered from the same thing but had thought it was "just them."

The member who had brought up the subject had carried out some research and came to the conclusion that the Piriformis Muscle is the culprit.  She has found an exercise which helps on the website which shows a video detailing how to stretch the muscle. (knee to shoulder).
