A Guided Tour of the Guildhall Art Gallery

Led by Murray Craig, with Clerk of the Chamberlain's Court at Guildhall

Tuesday 14th March, 11.30am - 1pm

Built in 1886 on the site of London’s Roman amphitheatre, as a Collection of Art Treasures worthy of the capital city, the gallery displays works dating from 1670 to the present, including 17th century portraits, Pre-Raphaelite masterpieces and a range of paintings documenting London's dramatic history.

£30 members of PMRGCAuk / £35 non-members, with all proceeds to PMRGCAuk

"Life With Five Prime Ministers"

Afternoon Tea at the House of Lords with a talk from our Patron Lord Butler

Wednesday 19th October 2016, 3.30pm - 5pm

We are excited to announce that the third in our event series will take place on Wednesday 19th October at the House of Lords, sponsored by Lord Levene of Portsoken KBE, in the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace Pavilion.

As well as enjoying a sit-down afternoon tea, we will hear a fascinating and entertaining talk from our Patron Lord Butler of Brockwell, about his extraordinary career as a senior civil servant in the Cabinet Office working for five serving Prime Ministers: Edward Heath, Harold Wilson, Margaret Thatcher, John Major and Tony Blair. 

Tickets cost £100 with all proceeds going towards our work supporting people with PMR and GCA.You can book tickets individually, or make up a party of ten friends and have a table.

Tour of the Old Bailey

Take a rare opportunity to glimpse inside this grand and imposing building and hear its fascinating history from Charles Henty, Secondary and Under Sheriff and High Bailiff of Southwark.

We will visit...

* The aptly named Grand Hall with its astonishing painted dome reminiscent of St Paul’s Cathedral

* The Courts where some of the most well-known trials in history took place, including those of the Kray brothers, Ruth Ellis and Oscar Wilde
