Fundraising Events and Projects
Do you have an ambition to do something adventurous, or a challenge you want to set yourself? Could you make your dream come true and raise money for PMRGCAuk at the same time?
Mark Nichols, whose mother has PMR, cycled with friends from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise funds for PMRGCAuk among other charities. In doing this, he gave us a double benefit, because he helped to raise awareness of PMR and GCA as he raised sponsorship, and as he made his way up the length of the country.
If you have an idea for a fundraising event, you can set up your own fundraising page on VirginMoneyGiving.com. Just click on 'Start fundraising'. Please contact us for supplies of leaflets, posters, etc, and use of our logos. Let us know what you are doing so that we can help to publicise your efforts!
Carrots Night Walk
Everybody knows carrots help you see in the dark! We have teamed up with Fight for Sight, the charity that funds research into sight loss, to raise money for research into Giant Cell Arteritis. With the help of supporters, we have been able to fund two small-scale projects already. If you like the idea of walking London by night with hundreds of other people, and experience the city in a new way, please contact us about becoming part of the Polymyalgia+GCA (PMRGCAuk) team.
